A collaborative and rewarding position has arisen for a Health and Safety Manager to join a successful construction organisation in the Sheffield area.
 
This role is reporting into the Health and Safety Director, working closely with the site teams to promote Health and Safety culture and standards.  Covering sites across the north Midlands and Yorkshire area, you will spend much of your time visiting various construction sites developing best practice systems.

The successful Health and Safety Manager will:
  • Conducting thorough and systematic inspections of the construction site on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with safety regulations, identify potential hazards, and verify that work is progressing according to plans and standards.
  • Creating detailed construction phase plans that outline the sequence of work and key milestones, along with comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential risks associated with construction activities. Additionally, preparing method statements that provide step-by-step instructions on how to safely and efficiently carry out specific tasks.
  • Making regular visits to construction sites to offer expert advice and support to on-site teams, helping them address challenges, improve safety practices, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Conducting thorough investigations into any accidents or incidents that occur on the construction site to determine their causes, identify contributing factors, and develop recommendations to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
  • Building and sustaining strong, positive relationships with clients by regularly communicating with them, addressing their concerns, providing updates on project progress, and ensuring their satisfaction with the services provided.
 
In return the successful individual will receive an attractive compensation package consisting:
  • Salary range £50,000 - £60,000  
  • Company car OR car allowance 
  • Annual leave of 25 days + bank holidays
